Privacy Notice under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023

Who we are: I am Shweta Ranjan, a freelance astrologer, tarot reader, reiki healer, and hypnotherapist. My website is www.shwetaranjan.com. I am the Data Fiduciary responsible for your personal data.
What personal data I collect:
- Name, mobile number & email address
- Description of your issue/query
- Birth details (date, time, place) if you share them for readings
- Payment transaction details (processed by Razorpay — I do not store card numbers)
- Website usage data via Google Analytics (IP address, pages visited, device info — anonymized where possible)
How I collect your data:
- Through the appointment scheduler on https://shwetaranjan.com/appointment-scheduler/ (when you book and pay)
- During consultations via WhatsApp, email, or phone
- Automatically through Google Analytics cookies
Why I use your data (Purposes): I use your data only for:
- Scheduling and confirming your appointment
- Delivering your astrology/tarot/reiki/hypnotherapy consultation
- Processing payment via Razorpay
- Sending session reminders and follow-ups
- Understanding site usage to improve my website
I do not use your data for marketing or advertising unless you separately opt-in.
How long I keep your data:
- Consultation and appointment records: up to 1 year after your last session
- Payment records: as required by tax laws (usually 5–10 years)
- Google Analytics data: as per Google’s retention settings, after the purpose ends, I delete or anonymise your data. You can request earlier deletion (see rights below).
Who I share your data with:
- Razorpay (for secure payments)
- Google (for Analytics)
- My hosting/email provider (only what is necessary), I do not sell or share your data with anyone else.
Your rights under DPDP: You can:
- Access your data
- Correct any errors
- Erase your data (where possible)
- Withdraw consent anytime
- File a grievance
To exercise any right, email me at connect@shwetaranjan.com with subject “DPDP Rights Request” and clearly state what you want. I will reply within 30 days. If unsatisfied, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Children: My services are for adults. If you are under 18, verifiable parental/guardian consent is required.
Security: I use HTTPS, secure plugins, and limited access to protect your data. In case of a breach, I will notify the Data Protection Board and you as required.
Cookies & Google Analytics: My site uses essential cookies + Google Analytics (statistics cookies). These are non-essential and load only after you give consent via the cookie banner. You can accept, reject, or manage them anytime.
Changes to this notice: I may update this notice. Check this page regularly. Significant changes will be notified.
